New

Isaiah 43:19 is quite possibly my favorite verse in the Bible. “See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”

I love new. New paint. New car smell (not the cost). New shoes. New days.

And I sense the Lord is doing something new in the world. What is it?

I don’t know, exactly. But what feels new is the fresh wind of the Spirit. Not that the Spirit is new; He’s not. But what’s new (as of late) is the power and fresh feel.

Maybe it’s just the season changing in Minnesota. Maybe it’s that we’re 3 days away from Easter. But regardless, the Lord is moving and shaping and speaking. Do you not perceive it?

May we all have ears to hear and eyes to perceive what God is doing in our midst.
