More About John 

It all started when…

In 6th grade, Jesus captured my heart. Late one night at Camp Mayfield, my friend Evan and I sat under the night sky, at a base of a large oak tree, and inscribed the letters M….A…D… into rocks. We made a pact, that no matter where life took us we wanted to a Make A Difference in the world for Jesus.

Fast forward to today, I’m the Executive Director of Creative Arts + pastor, leader & teacher, for a multi-site church of 14 locations. While life has taken me through twists and turns, most of the 29 years have been spent building the local Church and helping people discover the life-changing truth of Jesus Christ.

I don’t have it all figured out. I’m a work in progress. And yet, what I’ve discovered is that the world needs a lot less cynicism, criticism, and negativity, and a lot more hope, challenge, and positivity. In my little corner of the world, I have great hope for the Church in the world today. I truly believe that Jesus is still the hope of the world. And that the Church, made up of people like you and me, can be the greatest vehicle to reach people who are far from Christ.
