In an Age of Contempt

Contempt seems to rule the day.

Contempt over masks.

Contempt over the other political party.

Contempt over decisions being made for you by government officials.

Contempt over and during protests.

Contempt over the person who couldn’t possibly be voting for THAT person.

Contempt over whether to open churches or not.

By definition, contempt means you see that person you disagree with beneath consideration, worthless, below you, and lacking value.

Satan (or EVIL, if you don’t believe in Satan) is loving how much CONTEMPT is fueling our world right now. Contempt is a demonic spirit.

Jesus said, “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 that you may be children of your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:43-45

Pay attention to the disregard of another. Stop allowing contempt free reign in your heart, spirit, soul, and mind. It’s time to cut contempt off at the knees.

How? Love those you disagree with. Pray for your enemies.
